At Rice, we frequently work with excessively corroded, damaged and dented pipelines to bring them back to acceptable working conditions.

PLIDCO® Sole + Mates are fittings, custom-designed per application to properly fit the outside diameter of any pipeline.  The sleeve is welded longitudinally and the circumference is then either left unwelded (Type A Sleeve) or welded for pressure containment (Type B Sleeve).

What separates Sole + Mates from other designs is the consistency and quality of manufacturing.  All fittings are designed to conform with the requirements of ASME PCC-2, ASME B31.4, & ASME B31.8 and are furnished with 0.063” (1.6mm) thick backing strips to assist with the longitudinal butt welds. As each sleeve being custom manufactured, customers can choose to have shell non-grooved or grooved to accept the backing strips.  And in over 30 years of Canadian installation, we are proud to have a 0% field reject rate.
